Augustinian Youth

The Irish Augustinian Province are hoping to organise a pilgrimage to visit Augustinian sites in Italy. The pilgrimage is open to people from the ages of 18 to 25 and the cost will be expected to be in the region of 900 euro. The proposed dates for this pilgrimage are October 27 to 31, 2008.

The proposed itinerary is:

Day 1 Visiting the Duomo of Milan where Augustine was baptised and the shrine at Pavia where Augustines remains are conserved.

Day2. Visiting Leccetto where the Grand Union of the Order was signed.

Day 3. Visiting Cascia, home of St. Rita.

Day 4. Visiting Tolentine.

Day 5. Visiting Rome.

All accommodation will be in hotels of at least 3 stars with en suite and all meals will be provided for (except evening meal on the last day).

The pilgrimage is primarily aimed at those young adults who are involved in some of our ministries but is open to people who have an interest in finding out more about the Augustinians and St. Augustine. For any further information please contact Fr. Pat Moran osa (Prior of the Cork Community).
