Welcome to St Augustine's Shop and Repository

 

Opening Hours.

Monday: 9am - 1pm; 2.15pm - 5pm; 7pm - 9pm

Tuesday - Saturday: 9am - 1pm; 2.15pm - 5pm

Sunday: 10am - 11.30am

 

St. Augustine's Shop and Repository is located towards the back of St. Augustine's Church (towards the Grand Parade) and can be accessed by the tunnel leading to the Grand Parade or the side door leading on to Washington Street. The shop is under the patronage of the Augustinian friars and is under the management of Bro Michael Boyle osa - assisted by Ms. Eileen Fox, Ms Maureen Murphy and Shane Moriarty Murphy.

 

The shop sells a wide range of books, papers, magazines, statues, pictures, candles, religious medals and many other religious articles.While the shop offers a wide range of items covering most of the most popular devotions and saints, it also offers a wide range of Augustinian themed gifts and books. The shop also stocks many Catholic newspapers and other publications including; The Irish Catholic, The Universe, The Catholic Times, The Irish Family, etc.

Saint Rita of Cascia Saint Rita of Casia is one of the Augustinians more famous saints. In this beautifully illustrated book you can discover more about this remarakeable woman, mother, wife and saint.

 

 

St. Monica Book
Saint Monica, mother of Saint Augustine is a powerful example of a woman who loved her family and her God and never gave up on either. She provides us all with a strong example oft how effective prayer can be and how we can never lose hope in our loved ones.

 

St. Augustine, the spiritual father of the Augustinian Order worldwide was an acomplished and prolific writer. One of his best know and most loved books he wrote describing his life before and after he became Christian and how he finally came to know God. The "Confessions" is an inspirational read for its honestly and provides a real insight into St. Augustine himself. This small companion reader is ideal for anyone seeking to get a deeper understanding of this great Saint.

This beautiful prayer book entitled "Prayers for the Dead" is a seven day novena pray for the faithful departed. It contains readings from the writings of St. Augustine and also has information on St Nicholas of Tolentine, patron of the holy souls.
